Dr. Patricia Roy, MD has been practicing psychiatry since 2008. Over the course of her nearly twenty-year career, she has built a focus on young adults and women, while maintaining broad expertise across a wide range of mental health concerns for all ages.

Verita Psychiatry is currently accepting Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna for insurance. However, many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits, and we'll provide a superbill after each appointment that you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.

Our initial psychiatric evaluation (75 minutes) is $300. Follow-up appointments range from $150 to $250 depending on the time scheduled. We're committed to transparent pricing — no surprise bills.

We accept credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and Zelle. Payment is due at the time of service.

Yes! We're currently welcoming new patients. You can request an appointment through our patient portal or reach out through the contact page with any questions.

A superbill is a detailed receipt we provide after each visit. It includes your diagnosis codes, procedure codes, provider information, and service details — everything your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim. Apps like Reimbursify can help you submit it quickly.

Yes. Telehealth services are available in accordance with Virginia law. You must be physically located in Virginia at the time of your appointment unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Verita is physician-owned, which means care decisions are made by Dr. Roy, not a corporate structure. She takes a collaborative, whole-life approach, focusing on more than symptom management and working with each patient as a full person.
