Who we are

Dr. Patricia Roy is a board-certified psychiatrist who provides patient-centered, integrative psychiatric care grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique experience. She believes that effective mental health treatment grows from a strong therapeutic relationship and works closely with patients to develop thoughtful, individualized care plans that may include psychotherapy, medication management, and attention to lifestyle and overall well-being.

She completed advanced clinical training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based psychiatric care while also cultivating a thoughtful, relational approach to treatment.

Dr. Roy has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults. She spent several years caring for students at College of William & Mary, helping individuals navigate the complex developmental, academic, and emotional challenges that often arise during this stage of life. Her clinical work also includes leadership roles in hospital-based psychiatry, where she served as a medical director on inpatient psychiatric units, providing care for individuals experiencing acute mental health needs.

Dr. Roy’s practice reflects a collaborative and integrative philosophy, combining scientific rigor with a deep respect for each patient’s personal story and goals. She strives to create a space where patients feel heard, understood, and supported as they work toward improved mental health and greater resilience.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Roy lives in Williamsburg, Virginia with her family. She is a mother and enjoys spending time with her pets and being part of the local community.
